What are firefighters doing at a RareBuilt home?
At RareBuilt, quality craftsmanship goes hand in hand with safety, and recently, the Foothills Fire Department joined us on-site for a hands-on walkthrough and training session, using one of our homes under construction to explore modern, fire-suppressive building techniques.
This collaboration offered valuable insight for both teams. For firefighters, it was a chance to see how RareBuilt’s materials, framing methods, and structural designs contribute to safer homes that perform better under extreme conditions. For our team, it was an opportunity to share the RareStandards that make our builds stand out, like insulated concrete forms (ICFs), triple-pane windows, and advanced mechanical systems that help limit fire spread and boost energy efficiency at the same time.
Hosting the Foothills Fire Department also reinforced something that’s central to who we are: being active participants in the communities where we build. By opening our sites for this kind of real-world training, we’re proud to help first responders get a firsthand look at the construction methods shaping today’s homes, so they’re better prepared when seconds matter most.
From organized job sites to the durable materials we choose, every decision is made with long-term performance and homeowner peace of mind in mind.
As builders, we take pride not only in the homes we create but in the relationships we build, between our team, our partners, and the community. Working alongside local firefighters was a great reminder that the best homes aren’t just built to look beautiful, they’re built to protect what matters most.
